• If we have Windows DVD, we are good if not then we should have a minimum of 8 GB pen drive.
• Download windows file from below link:
  https://www.microsoft.com/en-in/software-download/windows8ISO
• Download Rufus from the below link:
  https://rufus.ie/ (We will use it to make our Pen Drive bootable)

How to install windows 8 and 8.1? There are two ways to install it:

A. How to install windows using Pen drive:

• First of all, we will make our pen drive bootable using the Rufus tool. We will attach our Pen Drive to the system and will open the Rufus tool.
• Rufus will detect the attached Pen drive automatically now we will select our windows ISO file like below:

• Select partition scheme according to your BIOS setup and if don’t know leave it as it is.
• Click on the start button it will show a popup for final confirmation to clean your Pen drive first.
• Once the process reaches 100% it means our bootable Pen Drive is ready just close the Rufus.
• Eject the Pen Drive and attach it to that system where we want to install the OS. (If it is the current system then the first shutdown it and then attach Pen drive.)
• Boot the system, it will show the below screen, In case if it does not show then you have to change the boot order from your BIOS setup. In the first place make your Pen drive.

• Select the required things as per your choice and click on the Next button.

• Click to Install button.

Enter your Key for example GCRJD-8NW9H-F2CDX-CCM8D-9D6T9 (It is Windows 8 Pro 64-bit Key).

• Accept the license terms via marking the box.

• Select Custom: Install Windows only(advanced). It is recommended.

• Select the partition where you want to install the OS and click the Next button (The first format is to clean it if it has some data and not free up the total space. It should have Total size=Free space).

• Once all steps are done and the required files get installed it will be rebooted.

• Meanwhile, eject the Pen drive and let it be rebooted. After completing the reboot, it will get ready our device like below:

• After getting ready the device will ask you to set up your device according to you via giving you instructions.

• Setup your device according to you. Now your window has been installed successfully.

B. How to install windows using Windows DVD:

• Insert the Windows DVD and boot the system, it will show below screen in case if it does not show then you have to change the boot order from your BIOS setup. In the first place make your Pen drive.

• Select the required things as per your choice and click on the Next button.

• Click to Install button.

Enter your Key for example GCRJD-8NW9H-F2CDX-CCM8D-9D6T9 (It is Windows 8 Pro 64-bit Key).

• Accept the license terms via marking the box.
